Benefits for Families

Training Overview:

Who is this course for? The session is for any staff or volunteers who support families and want an introduction to benefits for families.
 Aim This 3-hour session will provide a good introduction to the core entitlements that families may be able to claim in specific circumstances, how to claim, and where to get further help and advice.
 Objectives Following the presentation delegates will have an increased understanding of:
  • Which families might be entitled to Universal Credit
  • How much financial support does Universal Credit provide
  • Child Benefit and how it interacts with other benefits
  • Help if a child is ill or disabled
  • Help if a parent is ill or disabled
  • Other financial assistance that may be available to support families

Training Details:

 Course cost  £40 or limited funded places for eligible organisations
 Date  Wednesday the 29th of November
 Time 1000 - 1300 (3 hours)
