Aims and Objectives

Wiltshire Money is the lead body for financial inclusion activity within the county and provides a strategic framework for local organisations to co-ordinate their work, develop collaborative partnerships and share lessons learnt. Essentially it aims to help people make informed financial choices and be in control of their money.

Wiltshire Money Vision:

To improve the quality of life of those in economic need through improved financial capability and better access to free money advice, financial products, services and information.

Wiltshire Money Aims:

  1. Through partnership working maximise resources and support financial inclusion initiatives across the public, private and voluntary and community sectors.
  2. To ensure easy access to good quality, consistent information and advice in order to help people cope when problems arise.
  3.  To increase financial capability across the county to enable individuals to manage their finances independently and responsibly to reduce the number of people using unaffordable credit.
  4. Gain a greater understanding of financial exclusion and how it affects Wiltshire’s communities in order to influence policy and service delivery.
