Aims and Objectives
Wiltshire Money is the lead body for financial inclusion activity within the county and provides a strategic framework for local organisations to co-ordinate their work, develop collaborative partnerships and share lessons learnt. Essentially it aims to help people make informed financial choices and be in control of their money.
Wiltshire Money Vision:
To improve the quality of life of those in economic need through improved financial capability and better access to free money advice, financial products, services and information.
Wiltshire Money Aims:
- Through partnership working maximise resources and support financial inclusion initiatives across the public, private and voluntary and community sectors.
- To ensure easy access to good quality, consistent information and advice in order to help people cope when problems arise.
- To increase financial capability across the county to enable individuals to manage their finances independently and responsibly to reduce the number of people using unaffordable credit.
- Gain a greater understanding of financial exclusion and how it affects Wiltshire’s communities in order to influence policy and service delivery.
