Help to Pay Rent

Training Overview:

Who is this course for? This course is for advisers who need more detail on how Universal Credit and Housing Benefit can help working age claimants pay rent for their home.
 Aim To give advisers a more in depth understanding of how help with rent is provided via Universal Credit and Housing Benefit, at what level and any restrictions that may be in place.
 Objectives

Delegates will gain knowledge across the following areas:

  • Rent support provided by Universal Credit
  • Rent support provided by Housing Benefit for specified accommodation
  • Restrictions on the amount rent support
  • Calculating rent support
  • Issues with payment of rent support including direct payments and waiting periods

Training Details:

 Course cost  £40 or limited funded places for eligible organisations
